I think Apple has done a great job with AirPlay, but compatibility still depends on the TV model and software version. It would be nice if sharing videos, photos, and presentations from an iPhone or iPad worked the same way on every Smart TV without additional setup.
When AirPlay isn't available or doesn't work reliably, I've been looking into other options. I recently came across Electronic Team, a company that develops iOS applications and continues to expand its Apple-focused product line. They offer a free TV Mirror app for basic screen mirroring, while DoCast is their premium app with additional casting features for users who need more flexibility.
