I sent a sms for Debt Collecting last week Wednesday.  I clicked 60 days and older and used the template message. 

Within 10 minutes, I had parents phoning and emailing me, shouting and saying that we are HIGHLY unprofessional. I then realized that because our school fees are loaded in January, it pulled up the whole school as 60 days and older. Every parent received that sms! 

We as a school, load our school fees in January as one invoice for the year.  The reason we do this is because if the parent defaults and does not pay for the first 3 months, we send them a Letter of Demand.  It is recommended by ARISTA to load this way. We cannot send them a Letter of demand for the full school fees in April IF we load the school fees in monthly amounts - we would only legally will be able to give them a letter of demand for the 3 months outstanding as they have not been invoiced for the balance. 

***Therefore, is it possible under the Debtor sms option by the 30, 60 etc days, to please add:

I want to choose R20 000 and more (therefore the sms will ONLY be sent to accounts that are R20 000 and more outstanding)

= R45700 invoiced 1 Jan

no payments received

interest charged for March and April

April a Letter of demand sent for FULL amount.

So for example, in March I would want to send a sms:

I'd click:      Choose own amount 

The program should automatically pull the amount owing (balance should be R31990)

Therefore R45700 - R31990 (amount entered) = R13710 (should have paid - program to calculate)

The sms's will only be send to accounts who's balances are R31 990 and more.

The sms would read:  Mr ********, your outstanding amount owing on account **** is R 13710.00. Payment will be appreciated to avoid a Letter of Demand being sent. Regards Clarendon High School for Girls

AND

On same page under 30,60 days etc and Choose own amount, have another option to send individual sms.

This is where I would again enter my own amount but send to One person.

***This option would also be VERY effective when we open the statement and next to print or download, have an option to send EMAIL or SMS.

The time waisted by downloading the statement, saving it, looking for emails under learner then to make my own email and type a message is tedious, esp when we have more than 200 to do.

Please can you take a look at our suggestions and we look forward to Debt collecting upgrades soon.

Our jobs are not the nicest, but working on a program that is easy and a pleasure to work on make a huge difference in the Debt collecting departments.
