We would like to suggest an enhancement to the Discipline function on D6. At present, when a discipline notice is issued or loaded for a learner, the corresponding notification is only sent via the D6 app or as an SMS.

The concern is that many parents do not have their app notifications enabled, and as a result, they are unaware when a discipline notice has been issued for their child. This leads to communication gaps and delays in addressing behavioural concerns with parents.

We believe it would be extremely beneficial if the system could also send these notifications via email, ensuring that all parents, especially those less active on the app, receive timely and reliable updates.

This enhancement would support improved communication between schools and parents, help maintain accountability, and likely reduce follow-ups or misunderstandings regarding disciplinary actions. It may also be a valuable feature for other schools facing similar communication challenges.
