Thank you very much for the new SMS recon feature, it is something that will be very useful to our school. However, I have found that there is a major flaw with the function, which has big implications in terms of protecting privacy and confidentility.

The flaw is that ALL users who have rights to send SMSes, can see ALL SMSes sent by ALL users in the recon report.

We have a variety of staff who require rights to send SMSes, but, for example, allowing the Communications Officer to see SMSes sent by the finance and debtors departments, would lead to a breach of parent confidentiality.

If the recon feature cannot be assigned to specific users, where they can only view their own SMSes, then schools need to be to enable or disable the recon completely.
