Reports: Learners Absenteeism
The Department of Education accepts that learner absenteeism is recorded directly into the system. They however require hard copies of monthly registers per class for audit purposes. We currently can only print empty attendance registers for use by the educators who will have to complete that, as well as post the absenteeism online. This seems to be duplicating a simple process and adding more work to overloaded educators..
I propose activating a report feature whereby a class register can be pulled on a monthly basis, showing all learners in the class and the logged absenteeism records. The department want this to be gender specific.
Therefore a report that would be able to show, eg
All Grade 1 Class 1 boys per month and the recorded absenteeism
All Grade 1 Class 1 girls per month and the recorded absenteeism
The attached example shows what we can already get from P+. Populating this report with the recorded absenteeism would do the trick.
