Good Day,
I have been a long-time user of Pastel. The only issue is that it is not fully integrated with D6, which is why we opted to move to the finance module.
We are a relatively small school, 260 learners. But now as I have started with D6 finance, it has come to light that we have to use a payment option and have to go into each learner's profile and manually add late payment fees for the applicable months. Depending on the time of year, this means we have to manually load 50 or 60+ fees on each learner profile each month. I SHUDDER to think how long it will take to add lost / damaged textbooks PER SUBJECT and PER LEARNER in November.
This will be a HUGE drain on time. What we really need is:
The ability to import invoices via a spreadsheet- It would be very helpful if we could upload an excel schedule for one-off invoices, like late payment fees or various textbook charges This would allow us to apply the charges to multiple learners quickly and avoid HOURS of manual work.
OR
A simpler way to load invoices: If importing a spreadsheet isn’t possible, it would be great to have a single, easy-to-use screen where we can quickly load invoices for multiple learners. Right now, having to go into each profile one by one feels very outdated.
I’d really appreciate it if you could look into ways to improve this process, either by adding the ability to import invoices or by simplifying the one-off charge process.
We are a small school, I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for schools with 2000 learners!
