The budget approved at the AGM is generally drafted in July or August of the previous year - it is a forecast not the actual amount of children in the school for the following year. Also the school fees do not come in at a fixed rate per month - there are upfront payments, exemptions etc. Please can we have the option to load school fee income on the budget as we do with the other income/expense items. I cannot accurately report to my SGB with the school fee budget as it stands. I need to show how much we anticipated billing on a monthly basis versus how much we actually billed.
e.g. if annual school fees are forecast at 10 Million for the year, I anticipate billing 3 Million in January, 2 Million in February and 500 thousand per month from March to October - NOT 1 million per month.
