I then request that it be considered to change this so that schools can
decide for themselves when the class placements for the following year become
visible to parents on their portal?
Not all schools operate in the same way, and they do
things differently depending on the area in which the school is situated.
For example, rural schools work differently from schools in the city.
Parents like to prepare their children’s books for the
new school year - covering books and completing front pages. With the
current system, this is not possible, because parents only see on the
first day of school which class their children are in.
It creates unnecessary delays in admin and arrangements
on the first day. Allowing parents to know in advance which class their
child is in would enable them to prepare more effectively for Day 1.
It
would be greatly appreciated if you could consider this proposal, as there are quite a
number of schools that are negatively affected by your current system.
