How to generate a learner attendance report

The Attendance report generates a historical learner attendance summary. This article explains how to configure and generate the report. Note that this is a reporting function — for printing registers to record attendance going forward, use Reports > Learners > Management:  Attendance Registers.

How do I generate a learner attendance report?

  1. Select the attendance period: Week, Month, Term, or Period.

  2. Select the year.

  3. Based on your selection:

    • Week: Select the day on which the week ended.

    • Month: Select the month.

    • Term: Select the term.

    • Period: Select the from and to dates.

  4. Select the register classes on the left-hand side and click the double arrows to allocate them.

  5. Click Preview to generate the report.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Attendance report and the Attendance Register?

The Attendance report shows historical attendance data already captured in the system. The Attendance Register is a document printed to record attendance as we advance. Use the Attendance Registers to capture and the Attendance report to view historical data.

Can I generate the report for a custom date range?

Yes. Select Period as the attendance period, then specify the from and to dates for a custom range.

Can I generate the report for specific classes only?

Yes. Select only the required register classes from the left-hand list and use the double arrows to allocate them before generating.

Where is learner absenteeism captured?

Absenteeism is captured at My School > People  >  Learners > Attendance:  Absentees or My School > People  >  Learners > Attendance:  Learner Leave. The Attendance report draws on this data.
