Achievements overview — how the module works

The Achievements module allows schools to set up academic criteria and formulas to determine which learners should receive specific academic certificates and other awards. Manual allocations can also be made for categories such as Sport, Culture, Leadership, and others.

My School > Achievements > Databases

Certificates can be printed on pre-printed backgrounds or configured to print the entire certificate with a border, school name, logo, and other details.

What are the steps to produce successful certificates?

  1. Set up the Academic rules/criteria. My School > Achievements > Academic Criteria

  2. Set up the required Activities and Achievements. My School > Achievements > School Activities

  3. Set up the Certificate templates. My School > Achievements > Certificate Templates

  4. Allocate awards to learners. My School > Achievements > Allocation

  5. Print certificates. My School > Achievements > Print

How are Activities and Achievements structured?

School activities are grouped under preset categories. Activities must be created as needed. Achievements are then created for each activity. The structure is: Category > Activity > Achievement

Examples:

  • Sport > Soccer > 1st Team Captain

  • Sport > Athletics > Provincial Colours

  • Culture > Drama > Full Colours

  • Culture > Choir > National Winners

A planning table listing Activities, Achievements, and Certificate Templates needed is recommended before beginning the setup.

How do I allocate awards to learners?

After setting up all Academic Criteria, Certificate Templates, Activities, and Achievements, awards can be allocated to learners in one of three ways:

  • Automatic Academic Allocations: Indicate the Academic achievements to be allocated based on the learner's marks.

  • Manual Allocations: Manually allocate the remaining achievements (e.g., Sport, Culture) to specific learners.

  • Review Allocations: Verify which learners are linked to specific Activities and Achievements before printing.
