Adding Staff Contact Details for Parents

The Contacts section lets you share staff contact details with parents through the App. When a parent taps on a contact, their phone automatically offers to save that person's details.

How do I add a staff contact?

  1. Go to Settings → Contacts.

  2. Click Add Contact.

  3. Fill in the person's name, phone number(s), email address(es), and any social media links.

  4. Add any helpful notes (for example, Available after 14:00).

  5. Click Save.

Tips

  • Auto-save on phones: When a parent taps on a contact in the App, their phone automatically offers to save that person's details.

  • Privacy: Only add contacts for staff who are comfortable having their details visible to parents.

Where do parents see the staff contacts on the App?

Parents can find staff contacts in the Contacts section of your school's profile on the d6 Communicator App. They can tap any contact to view or save the details.

Can parents save a staff member's details directly to their phone?

Yes. When a parent taps on a contact in the App, their phone automatically offers to save that person's name, phone number, and email address.

Can I add notes to a contact, such as availability hours?

Yes. When adding or editing a contact, there is a notes field where you can add helpful information like "Available after 14:00" or "Grade 7 class teacher."

Can I edit or remove a contact after adding it?

Yes. Go to Settings → Contacts, find the contact you want to change, and edit or delete it. Changes appear on the App immediately.

Is there a limit to how many contacts I can add?

There is no strict limit. Add as many staff contacts as needed, but only include staff who are comfortable having their details visible to parents on the App.
