Attendance Registers

Attendance Registers

Attendance registers are used to record attendance. There is a separate report to show past attendance.

  • If you choose to print for a period, choose the cycle or month.
  • If you selected a cycle, choose a Monday on which the week starts. If you selected a month, choose the month.
  • Choose if you want to sort the report Alphabetical or by Gender. Should you choose to sort by Gender you must also choose whether to group by gender or no grouping.
  • You can choose if you want to print a summary of attendance at the bottom of the report or not.
  • Select the register class on the left-hand side and click on the >> to allocate them to the right.
  • Click the preview button to generate the register.

The Gauteng Department of Basic Education (GDE) has rolled out a monthly E-register template in Excel format for the absenteeism of pupils, to be used during the Covid-19 pandemic. Covid-related codes for absent reasons have already been captured therein. To reduce administration we have now integrated it with d6+.

  1. Enter absentees as usual at My School > Learners > Absentees or My School > Learners > Learner Leave.
  2. If you have Excel export rights assigned to you by the Superuser, the E-Register button will appear at the bottom of the screen. Click to download the prepared template.
  3. Click "Enable editing" to open the file.
  4. If you see the following message, please click "Yes"
"There is already data in {xxx] GDE Annex A (). Do you want to replace it?"
  5. Save separate files per grade, per month and update the headings where necessary.
