How to manage imported assets

This article explains how to modify descriptions of imported assets, delete assets and obtain an overview of individual assets in d6+.

My School > System > Assets > Manage > Manage Imported Assets

How to modify an imported asset's description

  1. Select the Owner of the asset in the Owner field.

  2. Select the Area of the asset in the Area field.

  3. To filter the asset list, type the asset description in the Search field and click Search. Click Reset to clear the search field.

  4. Click the asset and then click the Edit entry button.

  5. Enter the new description of the asset.

  6. Click Save and confirm with Yes.

How to delete imported assets

  1. Click the Delete entry button.

  2. Tick the checkbox next to the asset(s) you want to delete.

  3. Click Delete.

  4. Confirm the deletion by clicking Yes when the system asks.

How to obtain an overview of an asset and make changes

  1. View Per item

  2. Double-click the asset number.

  3. The system will open the Asset Overview and Financial Information screen where you can change the owner, area and other details.

How to change an asset's status

  1. Double-click on the asset number.

  2. The Asset Overview and Financial Information screen will open.

  3. Under Status change the value from Active to Inactive or Deleted as needed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I permanently delete an asset?

You can delete an asset via the Delete entry function. Alternatively, you can change the status to Deleted to remove the asset from active lists without permanently deleting it.

How do I filter the asset list for a specific asset?

Use the Search field to search by asset description. Click Reset to clear the filter and display all assets.

Where can I see an asset's financial information?

Double-click the asset number to open the Asset Overview and Financial Information screen, where all financial details are displayed.
