How to view the Bulk E-mail Queue

How to view the Bulk E-mail Queue

The Bulk E-mail Queue function lets users view the status of e-mails sent in bulk, such as account statements and learner report cards. It also serves as a record of proof that an e-mail was sent.

My School > System  >  Communication > Send a message:  Bulk E-mail Queue

How do I use the Bulk E-mail Queue?

  1. Open the function to view a list of all bulk e-mails that have been sent.

  2. Check the Status column to see whether each e-mail was successfully sent or is still pending in the queue.

  3. Each entry in the list serves as proof that an e-mail was dispatched from the system.

Frequently asked questions

What types of bulk e-mails appear in this queue?

Typical bulk e-mails include account statements sent to debtors and learner report cards sent to parents. Any e-mail dispatched in bulk through the system will appear here.

How do I know if an e-mail was successfully sent?

Check the Status column for each entry. A sent status confirms the e-mail was dispatched; a pending status means it is still in the queue awaiting dispatch.

Can I use this as proof of delivery?

The queue entry confirms that an e-mail was sent from the system. It serves as a dispatch record, but does not confirm that the recipient's inbox received or opened the message.

Where do I go if I want to send a bulk e-mail?

Bulk e-mails such as account statements or report cards are triggered from their respective modules. The Bulk E-mail Queue is a monitoring tool only — it does not send new e-mails.

What if an e-mail has been pending for a long time?

If an e-mail remains in a pending status for an extended period, contact the d6 support team to investigate any delivery issues.
