How do I generate an attendance register?

  1. Select the period: Two week cycle, Four week cycle or Calendar month.

  2. Select the start date: the Monday on which the cycle starts (for a weekly cycle) or the month (for a month).

  3. Select the sort method: Alphabetical or Per gender. If per gender: select whether genders should also be grouped (boys and girls then print separately).

  5. Select whether the admission/leaving date should be printed on the report.

  6. Select whether the signature should be printed on the report.

  10. Click View to generate the register.

How do I use the E-Register (GDE)?

The Gauteng Department of Basic Education (GDE) uses a monthly E-register template in Excel format for learner absences. d6+ is integrated with this template.

  1. Capture absences as usual at My School > Learners > Absences or My School > Learners > Learner Leave.

  2. If Excel export rights have been assigned, the E-Register button appears at the bottom of the screen. Click to download the prepared template.

  3. Click Enable editing to open the file.

  4. If the message appears “There is already data in [xxx] GDE Annex A. Do you want to replace it?”, click Yes.

  5. Save separately per grade and per month, and update the headings where necessary.
