Calendars can be added, edited and deleted here. Calendars created during channel setup also appear in this table and can be modified further. Calendars can be synchronised with Google Calendar or an iCal feed.
My School > Communication > Communication Setup> Calendars
Calendars (create/edit/delete): Only users with the Administrator role under My School > Staff > Staff > Edit Staff > Communication Rights Information. Moderators can modify existing calendars and assign authors or editors.
Calendar events (create/edit/delete): Moderators, Administrators, and Authors/Editors specifically assigned to a calendar.
Click Add and type a descriptive Calendar Name.
Select the colour for calendar events.
Choose whether to show this calendar in the School Calendar (should this calendar be available in the Calendar under My School?)
Choose whether to show this calendar as a Public Calendar (should this calendar be available to everyone).
Choose whether to Synchronise Calendaer: Synchronise with Google Calendar (existing or new) or an iCal feed (enter the iCal URL).
If using an existing Google Calendar, click Add User to grant edit rights (not view rights) to parents or other contacts. Calendar tights, you add multiple users by selecting on the left and throwing over to the right then submit.
If using an iCal feed, you can select (moderators/authors) below Calendar rights, select on the left and throw over to the right then submit
Change the Synchronise calendar field of a calendar to iCal feed and enter the iCal URL. Events will be regularly imported from the external feed.
Highlight or double-click the calendar and click Edit or Delete. The Edit and Delete buttons are only active when a calendar is selected. Deletion requires confirmation from the system prompt.
Under the View Calendar heading, click the hyperlink to open the calendar. A blue link means you have not yet viewed that calendar; a purple link means you have.
