The Check Popup Blocker tool helps diagnose and resolve issues where PDF reports fail to open in d6. This is most commonly caused by a browser pop-up blocker preventing the report from displaying. Resolving pop-up blocking is required for PDF report previews, bank statement downloads, and other functions that open in a new window.
My Home > System Support > Check Popup Blocker
If you generate a report and nothing happens, look for a Pop-up Blocked message in the URL bar at the top of your browser.
Click the message and select Always allow pop-ups from your school's d6 URL, then generate the report again.
For Google Chrome: click the pop-up icon in the address bar, view the blocked pop-ups list, and select Always show pop-ups from [your school URL].
Click My Home > System Support > Check Popup Blocker to run the test.
If your pop-up blocker is active, an error message will display with browser-specific instructions to disable it.
Option 1: Press F12, click Browser Mode, and enable Compatibility View. The system will update and return you to the login screen.
Option 2: Download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, then go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy and untick Turn on pop-up blocker.
This is almost always caused by a browser pop-up blocker. Look for the pop-up blocked notification in your browser's address bar and allow pop-ups for your school's d6 URL.
Google Chrome is the recommended browser for d6 as it ensures all functions work as expected.
Ensure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. If the issue persists, contact d6 support at support@d6plus.co.za.
