The Class Grouping function is a year-end function that becomes available in the fourth quarter. It can only be done after the re-registration and promotion procedures have been completed, and after admissions have been processed.
My School > People > Learners > Year-end > Class Grouping
Click the blue eye icon next to the grade for which you want to do class grouping for the following year.
Select the class grouping for language of instruction, grouping method, and group by from the dropdown lists.
Answer the gender question (Yes/No) — if Yes is selected, the system attempts to distribute boys and girls evenly per class.
Enter the number of classes for the following year.
Select the display order (Alphabetical or Academic) and click Continue.
Distribute learners per class by clicking the dots. Click Continue to save the changes.
The provisional class grouping can be re-edited to make changes before it is finalised.
The list shows three groups: Re-registered (learners who have applied to stay next year), Retained (learners repeating the current grade), and New enrolments (learners from waiting list A or B who have already been admitted).
The warning indicates that one or more previous steps (e.g., re-registration or admissions) have not yet been completed. Complete the necessary steps before proceeding with class grouping.
