Discipline Action Control


My School > Code of Conduct > Action Control

Type <Ctrl> <F> to search for words in the article.

This function is task driven. The task driven messages with regards to Action Control will only appear once a certain number of violations have been reached for a specific learner as set up in the Action Setup module and the Action Processing have been done.  Please make sure that the Action Processing has been finalised.

Action Control: General information

  • The processing of actions can be accessed in two ways:
  • A task will be displayed when you log onto the System.
  • Go to My School > Code of Conduct > Action Control.
  • The page will open with a list of control actions.
  • To Preview Letters of a specific action, click on the radio button next to the action and click on the Preview Letters button.
Note:  Please make sure that the selection you made is correct.
Once you have clicked on the continue button or if you deleted the learner from this list the only way to display a learner name again is to re-enter all the violations. 

Process Action Control for Notice of Detention

To process the Action control for Notice of Detention, click on the blue arrow button next to the action.
Deleting a learner name from the List
  • If a learner’s violations have been deleted from the system, the learner name will still appear on this list at Action Processing.
  • To delete the learner from this list, click on the tick box next to the learner's name and then on "Delete".
  • The following message will appear: "Are you sure you want to remove the selected learner from the list?".
  • Click on the "continue" button to proceed if you are certain that all your selections are correct.

Finalising the Action Control
  • Choose the learners who have attended detention by clicking on the tick box next to the learner's name and click on the "continue" button.
  • A message will appear in Pink that will warn you that the process can not be reversed.
  • Please make your selection.  If you choose Change Selection, you will return to the previous screen. Choosing Confirm will finalise
     this Action. 
  • When all the learner names have been selected and the "continue" button clicked, this specific Action Control will disappear from the list displayed on the screen.

Process Action Control for Interview with Parents

  • To process the Action control for Interview with Parents, click on the blue arrow button.
  • Follow the same steps as with " Notice of Detention".

Process Action Control for Interview with SGB

  • To process the Action control for SGB, click on the blue arrow button.
  • Follow the same steps as with " Notice of Detention".
