How to export a DOE Marks Schedule

Marks schedules can be exported to Excel to comply with Department of Education requirements and accommodate district and provincial variances. This process allows administrators to customise and manage marks data according to specific compliance needs.

Reports > DOE > Curriculum > DOE Marks Schedules

Navigate to the Reports section to access DOE Marks Schedules and begin your export.

How do I export a DOE Marks Schedule?

  1. Navigate to Reports > DOE > Curriculum > DOE Marks Schedules and select the Schedule Type. Note: available screens and options vary depending on the schedule type selected.

  2. Configure the Export Format, choose marks display preference (with or without marks), and select the relevant Year.

  3. Set additional options: Include additional Enrolment Data, Mark Columns, Display SBA/Exam marks as, Mark Type, Calculated Mark, Decision/Reason, and Grouping.

  4. If Grade grouping is selected, choose the terms, then select the grade and click the Right Arrow to allocate it.

  • By Subject: Organises data by subject, facilitating subject-level analysis and reporting.

  • By Class: Organises by individual class, useful for class-specific compliance reporting.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit the exported file?

Yes. Once the Excel file is downloaded, you can edit it. Click Enable Editing in the Excel security prompt to make changes to the spreadsheet.

What if I need different mark columns in my export?

Use the Mark Columns option during configuration to customise which mark columns appear in the export. This allows you to include or exclude SBA, exam, or calculated marks as needed.

How do I meet specific provincial requirements?

Configure the additional options and grouping settings to match your province's requirements. The Schedule Type selection often determines which provincial variance options are available for your export.

Can I export marks without learner details?

Yes. Uncheck the Include additional Enrolment Data option to export only mark information without extended learner details. This creates a cleaner export focused solely on marks data.
