Marks schedules can be exported to Excel to comply with Department of Education requirements and accommodate district and provincial variances. This process allows administrators to customise and manage marks data according to specific compliance needs.
Reports > DOE > Curriculum > DOE Marks Schedules
Navigate to the Reports section to access DOE Marks Schedules and begin your export.
Navigate to Reports > DOE > Curriculum > DOE Marks Schedules and select the Schedule Type. Note: available screens and options vary depending on the schedule type selected.
Configure the Export Format, choose marks display preference (with or without marks), and select the relevant Year.
Set additional options: Include additional Enrolment Data, Mark Columns, Display SBA/Exam marks as, Mark Type, Calculated Mark, Decision/Reason, and Grouping.
If Grade grouping is selected, choose the terms, then select the grade and click the Right Arrow to allocate it.
Select the phase for marks printing and choose your preferred layout: Summary, Detail (SBA, Exam, or EOY), or Detail (Term marks, SBA, Exam, EOY).
Click Generate Report, then I Understand to proceed with the export.
The Excel file downloads to your computer. Click Open to view it or Show in Folder to locate it. Rename and save the file to an accessible location, then click Enable Editing to edit the spreadsheet.
Excel format: Standard spreadsheet format compatible with Microsoft Excel and similar applications.
With marks: Export includes all learner marks data for the selected schedule.
Without marks: Export contains the schedule structure without specific mark values, useful for templates or planning.
By Grade: Organises marks by grade level, allowing term and phase selection per grade.
By Subject: Organises data by subject, facilitating subject-level analysis and reporting.
By Class: Organises by individual class, useful for class-specific compliance reporting.
Yes. Once the Excel file is downloaded, you can edit it. Click Enable Editing in the Excel security prompt to make changes to the spreadsheet.
Use the Mark Columns option during configuration to customise which mark columns appear in the export. This allows you to include or exclude SBA, exam, or calculated marks as needed.
Configure the additional options and grouping settings to match your province's requirements. The Schedule Type selection often determines which provincial variance options are available for your export.
Yes. Uncheck the Include additional Enrolment Data option to export only mark information without extended learner details. This creates a cleaner export focused solely on marks data.
