How to set up and manage Doctors

The Doctors module enables the school to build a database of family doctors and link them to learner and staff records. If a doctor's details are updated, the change applies automatically to all linked learners and staff members.

My School > System > General > Databases: Doctors

  1. Click Add.

  2. Enter the name (recommended format: Viljoen, AP, Dr.), phone number and physical address.

  3. Click the Accept changes button to save.

How do I edit a doctor's information?

  1. Click on the relevant doctor and edit the fields as required.

  2. Make the necessary changes and click the green Save button.

How do I remove a doctor?

Click on the status column next to the doctor and change the status from Active to Inactive.

Frequently asked questions

Why can I not remove a doctor?

The system does not allow a doctor to be removed if learners are still linked to them. First unlink all learners from the doctor's profile by clicking the doctor, then under the Reallocate column, selecting the correct option and clicking Accept changes. Afterwards click on the doctor again and change the status to Inactive.
