Zoho Assist is a free remote desktop tool that allows d6 support consultants to connect to your computer remotely to assist with complex support queries. Once installed, it provides a permanent icon on your desktop for quick access whenever remote assistance is needed.

How to download and install Zoho Assist

  • The Zoho Assist application will begin downloading. The .exe file icon will appear in the bottom-left corner of your screen.

  • Click the dropdown arrow on the right side of the .exe file and select Open to start the installation.

  • When prompted with “Do you want to allow this application to make changes to your device?”, click Yes.

  • Once installation is complete, a Zoho Assist icon will be placed on your desktop.

  • It is recommended to install Zoho Assist permanently so the desktop icon is always available for future remote sessions.

How to start a remote support session

  • Double-click the Zoho Assist icon on your desktop.

  • Enter the Session ID provided by the d6 support consultant.

  • Click Join Session to begin the remote desktop session.

  • Once the session is complete, close the Zoho Assist screen to terminate the connection.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install Zoho Assist every time I need support?

No. Install it once permanently. The desktop icon will then be available for all future remote sessions without reinstalling.

Where do I get the Session ID?

The Session ID is provided by your d6 support consultant during the support call. It is unique to each session.

Is Zoho Assist safe to use?

Yes. Zoho Assist is a trusted, industry-standard remote assistance tool. The consultant can only connect when you provide the session ID and actively join the session.
