How do I Pause an account?

This article explains how to pause a debtor account in Fease. Pausing an account temporarily stops follow-up communication until a chosen date, without disabling the account entirely.

Debtors > Accounts

How do I pause a debtor account?

  1. Navigate to Debtors > Accounts.

  2. Search by name, surname, or family code.

  3. Click on the accountable person's name.

  4. Next to workflow status, change the setting from Active to Paused.

  5. Select a date next to Paused Until to set the date up to which the account should remain paused.

Notes

  • Follow-up communication: The debtor will not receive any follow-up communication until the Paused Until date is reached.

  • Promise to Pay Reminder: The debtor will still receive the Promise to Pay Reminder while paused.

  • Best use case: Useful for debtors who have made payment arrangements and should not receive further communication in the meantime.

Frequently asked questions

Will a paused debtor account receive any communication at all?

Yes. A paused account will still receive the Promise to Pay Reminder, even though all other follow-up communication is stopped until the Paused Until date is reached.

Will I receive a reminder once Fease updates the workflow status from Paused to Active?

No, Fease will not send you a reminder to inform you. This must be manually checked and updated if required.

Do I need to save after changing the workflow status?

Yes. Click the cloud icon at the top of the screen to save and confirm the change.

How do I reactivate a paused account before the Paused Until date?

Change the workflow status back to Active using the same navigation steps, then click the cloud icon to save and confirm the change.

When should I pause an account instead of disabling it?

Pause an account when a debtor has made a payment arrangement and communication should resume automatically on a set date. Disabling is better suited to special cases where no communication should be sent until manually reactivated.
