How do I edit and complete a Promise to Pay (PTP) commitment on Fease?

Fease now allows you to edit and complete Promise to Pay (PTP) commitments directly on the platform, without having to go into d6 Finance to complete the PTP arrangement there. This article covers how to edit a PTP, mark it as complete, and mark it as partially completed.

Purpose of this feature

Promise to Pay (PTP) commitments can now be managed entirely within Fease. Since Fease and d6 Finance are integrated, updating a PTP on Fease automatically updates the corresponding entry on d6.

How do I edit a PTP commitment?

Step 1: Find the account

  1. Navigate to Debtors > Accounts.

  2. Search for the account by name, surname or debtor code, or type Promise to Pay into the Tags column.

  3. A list of accounts with PTP arrangements will appear.

  4. Click on the accountable person's name.

Step 2: Update the PTP entry

  1. Click on the Promise to Pay tab at the bottom of the account.

  2. On the specific PTP entry, click on Edit.

  3. Update the Promise Date and/or Amount Promised as needed.

  4. Click on Save.

This will update the PTP for this specific account.

How do I mark a PTP as complete?

  1. Follow the same steps as above to open the account and locate the PTP entry (Debtors > Accounts, search or filter by the Promise to Pay tag, click the accountable person's name, then the Promise to Pay tab).

  2. Instead of clicking Edit, click on the green Complete button on the specific PTP entry.

  3. Tick the box next to Paid Full Amount.

  4. Click on the Complete button to confirm.

This will mark the PTP commitment as completed.

How do I mark a PTP as partially completed?

  1. Follow the same steps as above to open the account and locate the PTP entry, then click on the green Complete button.

  2. Leave the Paid Full Amount box unchecked.

  3. Next to Amount Paid, insert the amount the debtor paid.

  4. Click on Partially Completed to update the entry.

Notes and important information

  • d6 integration: Fease and d6 Finance are integrated, so a PTP marked as Complete, Not Complete or Partially Completed on Fease will also update and be visible on d6.
