This article covers how to capture, review, and manage learner marks in d6 post-implementation. It is intended for administrators and teachers and explains mark entry, approval workflows, and common corrections.
My School > Learners > Marks per group
Marks capture allows teachers to enter assessment results per learner for each configured task. Administrators can review, approve, and correct submitted marks. Marks flow automatically into term and year-end calculations once all tasks are captured and approved.
Navigate to My School > Learners > Marks per group.
Select the Year, Term, Grade and Subject , and according to how you access learners you would select Red level as subject marks, Yellow level as task marks and green level as assessment marks. Most CAPS schools would be captured in green level.
The class list for that group will display in the ribbon -select a class and capture by clicking on mark 1.
Enter each learner's mark. Marks exceeding the task total will be highlighted in red, if deleted it would appear in yellow and captured will appear in .
Click Save to save progress. Marks are not submitted until you click Submit for Approval.
Go to Reports > Learners> Marks sheets.
Filter by term ,grade, subject, and throw over selected to the right and generate a report.
Approved marks are locked under my school > curriculum > learning programmes.
Go to My School > Curriculum > Learning Programmes.
Locate the approved task and click Unlock (administrator permission required).
Return the task to the teacher for correction, or edit the mark directly as an administrator.
Lock once the correction is confirmed.
Absent learners: Enter an "A" or leave the field blank according to your school's configuration. Do not enter 0 for absent unless this is your school's policy.
Under learning programmes unlock the marks , find the incorrect entry and make the change.
The mark may not have been submitted. Also verify the learner is correctly allocated to the subject's class list.
