How to Customise Your Groups and News Feed

The d6 app allows you to choose which groups you want to receive news from. This helps you filter out content that is not relevant to you.

Settings → Customise Your Groups → Select/Deselect → Done

How do I customise my groups?

  1. Open the d6 app and tap on the Settings tab near the bottom-right of the screen.

  2. Tap on Customise Your Groups.

  3. Scroll through the list of available groups.

  4. Tap on a group to select (tick) or deselect (untick) it.

  5. Tap Done or the back arrow to save your changes.

Only news from the groups you have selected will appear in your news feed.

Why can I not untick some groups?

Some groups are assigned to you by the school and cannot be removed. These are typically grades or classes that the school has linked to your learner. If you believe a group has been assigned incorrectly, contact your school to have it changed.

Frequently asked questions

My news is not updating. Is it a group problem?

Possibly. Check that the relevant groups are selected in Customise Your Groups. If important groups are unticked, you will not see their news.

What is the difference between Filter and Customise Groups?

Filter temporarily shows news from specific groups without changing your settings. Customise Your Groups permanently changes which groups appear in your feed.

Will changing my groups affect other parents?

No, your group settings are personal to your account. Other parents have their own group selections.
