To submit your d6+ information to the Department of Education, a valid SA-SAMS export must be prepared. This requires certain learner, parent and personnel information to be included.
My School > d6 Initiatives > Compliance > Export to SA-SAMS Database
Before exporting, check and resolve outstanding tasks at My Home > My Information: My Tasks and My School > d6 Initiatives > Compliance: Outstanding Compliance Tasks.
Select the term for the export.
Select the Promotion formula Type (usually Promotion Mark).
Select the SA-SAMS export database template.
Choose the number of years of data to export.
Choose Reporting Language (English preferred for DoE submission).
Tick applicable options: Pre-Primary learners, CAPS subjects, report general comments, recalculate results, etc.
Click Export. Once complete, the file downloads to your Downloads folder. Unzip to open in SA-SAMS.
Open SA-SAMS, select On the Network, browse to the exported database, and click Continue.
Accept the POPIA Acknowledgement. Log in: Username Administrator / Password @dmin2023.
Navigate to Button 17 — LURITS Approval Module. Approve all buttons on each tab: School information, Learner Info, Educator Info, Staff Information, Governing Info.
Correct any errors (red squares) in d6+, re-export and re-deploy.
Once all tabs are approved, open LURITS Status Stats and click DEPLOY DATABASE. Save the Deployment Report.
Open Valistractor, click Browse and navigate to C:\ExportData\LuritsData.
Select the term and click Select. Use Term to Date for weekly/monthly; use Final Validation for end-of-term.
Correct all errors in d6+, re-export and re-deploy until data scores 85% or higher.
Click Extract Data to submit electronically to the DDD. Save the Sign-off Report.
No additional SA-SAMS information has been uploaded to d6+. This is normal for most schools.
Your data scored below the required threshold. Correct outstanding data in d6+, re-export, re-deploy, and re-submit in Valistractor.
