How to generate a Class List

A class list generates all learner names in a class on the same document. Various options control what information is included and how the list is formatted.

How do I generate a class list?

  1. For class lists of: Select the year — Current, Previous or Provisional.

  2. Class lists as on: Select the date. Learners admitted on a future date will not appear. A learner still appears on their “left” date (their last day at school).

  3. Class lists with: Choose whether to include Learner, Parent, Medical or Extra-curricular information.

  4. Teacher Name: Select the format for the teacher name on the list.

  5. Show for gender: Select Boys, Girls or All learners.

  6. Print learners receiving education in: Select All, Mainstream, SNE.

  7. Print class lists: Choose Portrait or Landscape.

  8. Column header height / Row height: Adjust as needed. Decrease row height if names overflow onto a second page.

  9. Print blank lines: Choose whether to print blank lines below each learner name and how many.

  10. Print blank lines separated: Choose whether the lines should be visible.

  11. Print gender totals: Choose whether the learner numbers summary table should print at the top right.

  12. Print empty columns: Choose whether additional empty columns should be added.

  13. Learner information: Select the format and printing order of learner names.

  14. Print additional information: Select any additional information to include.

  15. Print own column headers: Add custom headings for additional columns, or select from the existing list.

  16. Rotate own column headers: Rotate headers to reduce column width.

  17. Register Class: Select the class(es) to print.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a learner not appear on today's class list?

Check the Class lists as on date and the learner’s admission date in their profile. If the learner's admission date is in the future, they will not appear on the current list. They will appear from their admission date onwards.
