How to manage school calendars

Calendars can be added, edited and deleted here. Calendars created during channel setup also appear in this table and can be modified further. Calendars can be synchronised with Google Calendar or an iCal feed.

My School > Communication > Communication Setup > Calendars

Who can manage calendars and events?

  • Calendars (create/edit/delete): Only users with the Administrator role under Communication Rights Information.

  • Calendar events (create/edit/delete): Moderators, Administrators, and Authors/Editors specifically assigned to a calendar.

How do I create a calendar?

  1. Click Add and type a descriptive Calendar Name.

  2. Select the colour for calendar events.

  3. Choose whether to show this calendar in the School Calendar.

  4. Choose whether to show this calendar as a Public Calendar.

  5. Choose whether to Synchronise Calendar with Google Calendar or an iCal feed (enter the iCal URL).

  6. Under Calendar rights, select moderators/authors on the left and move them to the right.

How do I edit or delete a calendar?

Highlight or double-click the calendar and click Edit or Delete. Deletion requires confirmation from the system prompt.

How do I view or manage calendar events?

Under the View Calendar heading, click the hyperlink to open the calendar.
