How to onboard staff and launch the parent roll-out in d6 Communicator
This article explains how to onboard internal staff and launch the automated 12-day parent roll-out in d6 Communicator. It is for school administrators (Superusers) once communication content is active and staff are oriented.

How do I onboard internal staff first?
Send formal invitations, batched directly from the backend, via My School > Communication > d6 Communicator Setup > Invitations.
Select who you wish to invite and also via what platform (Email or SMS)-SMSes are charged.
How do I execute the 12-day automated parent roll-out?
Navigate to My School > Communication > d6 Communicator Setup > Takeup tab.
Scroll down to the Roll-out Launch system.
Input your chosen launch date (must be scheduled from the next day onwards).
Choose your communication media: free channel emails only, or include automated SMS integrations. If SMS is used, acknowledge the end-of-month billing fee confirmation box.
Click Launch.

Automated sequence: The portal autonomously deploys a strategic sequence of emails and SMS messages over a 12-day window to all unregistered parents.
Real-time tracking: The system tracks registrations in real time, so reminders automatically stop sending to a parent the moment they successfully register.

When can I schedule the launch date?
The launch date must be scheduled from the next day onwards; it cannot be launched on the same day it is set up.
Do reminders keep sending after a parent registers?
No. The system tracks registrations in real time and automatically stops sending reminders to a parent as soon as they register.
Why must staff register with their exact mobile number?
Staff must register using the exact mobile number recorded on their profile under My School > Staff > Staff to guarantee they are automatically linked to the correct school.
