This article explains how to configure and generate learner report cards in d6 post-implementation. It covers report card templates, term configurations, and the generation and distribution process for administrators.
Reports > Learners > Report Cards
Report cards in d6 are generated from approved marks and configured templates. The administrator sets up the report card format, links it to the correct grades and terms, and controls when report cards are available to parents. Report cards can be printed, emailed, or published to the d6 parent app.
Navigate to Reports >Learners > Report Cards.
Select your school's active template or click Add Template to create a new one.
Configure the Layout (portrait or landscape)
Set the Information to Display — choose whether to show all subjects or only those with marks captured, days absent, remarks, signatures etc
Customise the email that will be sent if you do use the email option.
Click Save and preview the template before throwing over the grades to view the report.
Go to My School > Compliance > Outstanding compliance tasks as a last step to check if your system is up-to-date.
Go to Reports> Learners > Report Cards
Select the Template, Term, Criteria (either register class or per learner)
Click Generate. d6 will process the marks and produce a PDF for each learner.
To print, select Generate and Print.
To publish to the d6 parent app, ensure under learning programmes you have selected a release date.
To email, select Email Reports and confirm the distribution list.
Regeneration: If marks are corrected after report cards have been generated, you must regenerate and redistribute. Previously published report cards will be replaced.
Parent app access: Parents must have an active d6 communicator account linked to the learner to receive app-based report cards.
Confirm the learner is allocated to that subject's class list and that at least one mark has been captured and approved for the subject in the relevant term. Subjects with no approved marks are excluded from the report card by default.
Yes. Under Report Cards > Learners, filter by current , search the learner name on the left block and throw it over to the right block to and regenerate only for that learner. This will update only the selected learner's report card without affecting others.
You can put the publish date off or select a date once it is term ending to avoid influx of queries.
