How to Update Your Phone Number or Email Address

If you have changed your phone number or email address, you can update these details directly in the d6 app.

Settings → Tap profile → Edit detail → Verify OTP → Saved

How do I update my contact details?

  1. Open the d6 app and tap on the Settings tab near the bottom-right of the screen.

  2. Tap on your email address or phone number displayed near the top of the Settings menu.

  3. Your account information will appear. Tap on the detail you wish to change.

  4. Enter your new phone number or email address.

  5. You will receive an OTP (one-time PIN) to verify the new detail.

  6. Enter the OTP to confirm the change.

Important notes

After updating your details in the app, also contact your school and ask them to update your information in their d6 system. This ensures you continue receiving all relevant news and notifications for your child.

Frequently asked questions

I did not receive the OTP. What should I do?

Check your spam or junk folder for email OTPs. For SMS, ensure you have signal and wait a few minutes. You can request a new OTP after the countdown ends.

Can I have both a phone number and email on my profile?

Yes, you can add both a phone number and email address to your d6 profile. This gives you more ways to receive OTPs and ensures your profile is complete.

Will updating my details in the app also update them at my school?

No, the app and school systems are separate. After updating the app, contact your school to update their records as well.
