How to set up and configure a learning programme

A learning programme is a structured curriculum framework that outlines the subjects, courses, and learning outcomes for a specific grade or qualification level. Setting up learning programmes ensures that your school has a well-organised educational structure.

To create a new learning programme:

  1. Click on the Curriculum or Learning Programmes option from the main menu.
  2. Click the Add New Programme button.
  3. Enter the programme name (e.g., "Grade 10 National Curriculum").
  4. Select the qualification type if applicable.
  5. Define the programme duration and delivery mode (full-time, part-time, online).
  6. Click Save to create the programme.

To configure subjects and courses:

  1. Open the learning programme you want to configure.
  2. Click Add Subjects or Add Courses.
  3. Select subjects from the available options or create new subjects.
  4. Assign credits or contact hours to each subject.
  5. Define learning outcomes and assessment methods for each subject.
  6. Click Save to confirm your selections.

To assign learners to a programme:

  1. Navigate to the learning programme.
  2. Click Enrol Learners or Add Participants.
  3. Search for and select the learners to enrol.
  4. Confirm their enrolment date and status.
  5. Click Save to complete the enrolment.

To manage programme settings:

  1. Open the learning programme settings.
  2. Configure assessment weightings and grading scales.
  3. Set progression requirements and prerequisites.
  4. Define attendance requirements and leave policies.
  5. Save any changes made to the programme configuration.
