How to manage staff members and user access
The Staff Management module serves as the central database for all school staff. It is essential that every staff member's details are loaded onto the system, regardless of whether they are paid by the Department of Education (Persal) or the Governing Body (SGB).
My School > People > Staff > Staff
How do I load a staff member onto the system?
Click Load staff member and complete all compulsory sections (marked with *):
• Staff information: Personal and contact details.
• Category: Main category (e.g., Intermediate phase) and any additional roles.
• Appointment information: Position, appointment date, and service status.
• Identification: ID number, Persal number (if applicable), and SACE number.
• Qualification and Experience: Qualification type and years of experience.
How do I set up system access? (Superuser only)
Create a unique username and select the programme language.
Select Mandate (Email or SMS) to send login details to the member — compulsory so the user can create a password.
Enable 2-Factor Verification (2FV) if required. Trusted devices can be remembered for 3 months.
How do I assign rights?
Communication rights: Determines whether the member may send mass communication.
Programme rights: Select None, View, or View and Edit for each module.
Frequently asked questions
Why does LURITS reject my staff data?
LURITS is strict with ID numbers. If the ID number is missing or invalid, the data is rejected. Ensure the information matches exactly with the official documentation.
What happens if a staff member's account is locked?
After 5 unsuccessful log-in attempts, the account is locked for 60 minutes. The user can wait, use the Forgot Password function, or ask the Superuser to unlock the account manually.
