This article explains what enquiries are in Altivo, how potential sponsors submit them through the Sponsor Portal, how to review and action enquiries on the New Requests page, and the complete workflow from enquiry to active sponsorship.
Sponsor Portal > New Requests
An enquiry is a request from a potential sponsor who found your Sponsor Portal and expressed interest in a specific asset. Enquiries appear under New Requests in the Altivo sidebar.
On the Sponsor Portal, each asset has an enquiry button. Potential sponsors fill in a form with their name, company type, contact person, email, phone, registration number, website, industry, and a message. No login is required to submit an enquiry.
Navigate to New Requests in the sidebar. Enquiries show sponsor name, contact details, the asset they enquired about, date submitted, and status (Pending, Accepted, Declined).
Go to New Requests
Click on the enquiry to review the details
Click Accept
A new Sponsor record is created automatically with status Prospect, using the information from the enquiry form
After accepting, the sponsor appears in your Sponsors list. You can then create a sponsorship and allocation for them.
Review the enquiry in New Requests
Accept - Sponsor record created as Prospect
Contact the new sponsor to discuss terms
Create a Sponsorship recording their contribution
Create an Allocation assigning the requested asset
Update the sponsor status from Prospect to Active
The portal has rate limiting to prevent spam: 30 reads per minute and 10 writes per minute per IP address. This is a background protection and should not affect legitimate enquirers.
First check that your Sponsor Portal has visible assets (portal toggle on, price greater than R0, units available). Then confirm you have shared the portal link with potential sponsors - the portal does not market itself.
Accepted enquiries create sponsors with status Prospect. If your Sponsors page is filtered to Active only, they will be hidden. Clear all filters to see every sponsor.
Acceptance cannot be undone from the interface. If accepted by mistake, delete the sponsor record that was created. If declined by mistake, the potential sponsor can submit a new enquiry through the portal.
The form collects: sponsor name, company type, contact person name, email address, phone number, and optionally registration number, website, industry, and a message. This information is used to pre-populate the Sponsor record when accepted.
