Multi-Platform Communication
This function allows the user to send communication via different channels without duplication and unnecessary costs. It can send email, SMS, and d6 Connect (App) messages with a single action.

How do I send a multi-platform message?
Step 1 — Select your audience: Tick at least one audience checkbox (Parents, Learners, Staff, Other contacts, Other groups, Debtors, or Custom).
Step 2 — Select delivery methods: Choose d6 Connect, Email, and/or SMS. The total number of recipients and those who will actually receive the message are shown.
Step 3 — Compose the message: Click Next, enter the subject and message body, and attach files if needed (max 25 MB total).
Step 4 — Confirm and send: Review the summary and click Send.
Frequently asked questions
What user rights are needed for Multi-Platform Communication?
The user must have rights under Communication Rights Information. All three options (d6 Connect, Email, SMS) must be selected to use the full function.
Why do some recipients not receive the message?
If a recipient has no email address, cell number, or d6 Connect profile on the system, the message cannot be delivered via that channel. Use the Show recipient details link to see the specific reason per recipient.
