My User Information

My User Information

The My User Information module allows users to update their personal information, change their password, set up Two-Factor Verification (2FV), and change the interface language.

My Home > My User Information

Password

  • Passwords and usernames are case-sensitive — upper and lower case must be typed exactly as originally set up.

  • Password strength is tested on entry. If your current password is considered weak, a task will appear under My School > Tasks encouraging you to update it.

  • If you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot my password link on the login screen to receive a recovery link via email or SMS. Alternatively, ask your system administrator to reset it. Previous passwords cannot be recovered.

Two-Factor Verification (2FV)

  • 2FV adds an extra layer of security. After entering the password, users will be prompted to enter a unique code sent via email or SMS.

  • If the Super User permits it, you can activate or deactivate 2FV yourself on this screen.

  • You can designate a trusted device during initial 2FV setup, which allows you to bypass 2FV for three months on that device. After three months, the device is automatically deactivated and must be designated again.

  • Trusted devices can be removed at any time if they are no longer in use.

Interface Language

  • The default interface language is set per user by the system administrator, but users can change it themselves on this screen.

  • Alternatively, click on the school name in the menu bar, hold Shift + Ctrl and press L to toggle the interface language.

Frequently asked questions

I forgot my password — what do I do?

Click Forgot my password on the login screen to receive a recovery link via email or SMS. If this option is not available, ask your system administrator to reset it.

Why can I not activate 2FV?

The ability to activate or deactivate 2FV is controlled by the Super User. Contact your system administrator if the option is greyed out.

How long does a trusted device remain active?

A trusted device bypasses 2FV for three months. After that it is automatically deactivated and must be set up again.

Can I change the interface language myself?

Yes. You can change the interface language in My User Information, or by clicking the school name in the menu bar and pressing Shift + Ctrl + L.
