Oldest or Only Child

The Oldest/Only Child report generates a summary total of the oldest or only learners in a register class. The report can be used to display detailed learner information or summary totals.

Reports > Learners > Learner Reports: Oldest or Only Child

How do I generate the Oldest/Only Child list?

  1. Select whether to display Oldest/only or Youngest/only.

  2. Select whether to display a Summary with totals, or Detail with learner information.

  3. Select the register class(es) on the left and click the right arrows to allocate them.

  4. Click View to generate the report. The report is generated as a PDF.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Summary and Detail?

Summary displays only the total numbers per register class. Detail displays individual learner information together with the summary.

Can I generate the report for all classes simultaneously?

Yes. Move all the desired register classes to the right block before clicking View.

What is this report used for?

It is used for school admission planning and to identify the oldest or only children for school fund applications, bursaries or subsidy applications where family composition is relevant.
