How to manage Mark Capture Rights
The Mark Capture Rights function controls which staff members have access to capture or edit marks for specific subjects and subject groups. Rights can be assigned based on system roles (Subject Heads and Subject Group Teachers) or through manual allocation.

How do I set up global visibility options?
On the Options tab, select whether staff can view subjects for which they do not have capture rights:
How do I assign rights to a specific staff member?
Use the Per Staff Member tab to give one teacher access to multiple subjects or groups:
Select the Staff member, Year, Grade and Learning Programme.
Move subject groups from the left block (Available) to the right block (Assigned) to grant access.
Click Save.
How do I view all rights for a specific subject?
Use the Per Subject tab for an overview of all staff with rights for a specific subject:
Select the filters for Year, Grade, Learning Programme and Subject.
The table shows all authorised staff. Double-click on a staff member or subject group to open the assignment interface and add or remove users.
Frequently asked questions
What do the colours on the capture rights screen mean?
Pink indicates automatic rights for the assigned Subject Head. Blue indicates automatic rights for the assigned Subject Group Teacher. Black indicates manual rights assigned via the tabs.
Why does a staff member not appear on the assignment list?
The staff member must have View and Edit rights for module 2.2 Learner Marks in the Staff module. Without these rights they will not appear on the assignment list.
