The Mark Capture Rights function controls which staff members have access to capture or edit marks for specific subjects and subject groups. Rights can be assigned based on system roles (Subject Heads and Subject Group Teachers) or through manual allocation.
My School > System > Curriculum > Curriculum Setup > Capture Rights
On the Options tab, select whether staff can view subjects for which they do not have capture rights:
Enabled: Staff can view all marks in the school but only edit their assigned classes.
Disabled: Staff only see the subjects for which they have explicit write rights.
Use the Per Staff Member tab to give one teacher access to multiple subjects or groups:
Select the Staff member, Year, Grade and Learning Programme.
Move subject groups from the left block (Available) to the right block (Assigned) to grant access.
Click Save.
Use the Per Subject tab for an overview of all staff with rights for a specific subject:
Select the filters for Year, Grade, Learning Programme and Subject.
The table shows all authorised staff. Double-click on a staff member or subject group to open the assignment interface and add or remove users.
Pink indicates automatic rights for the assigned Subject Head. Blue indicates automatic rights for the assigned Subject Group Teacher. Black indicates manual rights assigned via the tabs.
The staff member must have View and Edit rights for module 2.2 Learner Marks in the Staff module. Without these rights they will not appear on the assignment list.
