The Register Class Timetables module provides a learner-centric view of the school’s academic schedule. Once a timetable has been finalized and uploaded to the d6+ system, administrators and educators can use this feature to view exactly where a specific register group (e.g., Grade 10A) should be at any given period during the cycle.
My School > Staff > Timetables: Register Class Timetables
The primary purpose of this feature is to facilitate effective learner management and school logistics. It is used to:
Monitor Learner Movement: Identify the subject and venue for a specific group of learners at any point in the cycle.
Support Administrative Tasks: Provide a reference for register teachers to assist learners with their daily schedules.
Distribution: Generate and print specific timetables for learners to keep in their workbooks or for display on the register class noticeboard.
Select the Academic Year from the dropdown menu.
Select the relevant Term (the system will load the timetable data associated with that specific period).
A list of all active Register Classes for the year will be displayed.
Click on a Register Class (e.g., Grade 8B) to open its specific schedule.
The system will display the timetable grid, showing the cycle days, time slots, subjects, and assigned venues.
To generate a hard copy, click the Print this timetable. This is the standard method for providing learners with their personal copies.
Why can't I see any data for my register classes? This module relies entirely on data being uploaded from the Timetabler module. If no timetable has been published or uploaded for the selected term, the grids will remain empty.
Can I export all class schedules to a single Excel file? No. Clicking the Excel Export button on the main screen will only generate a list of the register classes themselves. To view or extract the actual timetable data, you must view the individual class or use the bulk reporting tools in the Timetabler module.
What should I do if a subject on the class timetable is incorrect? Changes cannot be made directly in this view. Any corrections to subjects, teachers, or periods must be performed in the master timetable within the Timetabler module and then re-uploaded to d6+ to reflect the changes here.
Restriction: The information in this module is read-only.
Reason: This ensures a "single source of truth." By preventing manual edits on this screen, the system guarantees that the register class timetable always matches the master schedule, preventing learners from being sent to the wrong venues.
Restriction: You must select a specific term to view a timetable.
Reason: Schools often update their schedules between terms to accommodate staff changes or curriculum shifts. Term-based loading ensures that historical and future schedules remain distinct.
