How to set up and manage Resources

How to set up and manage Resources

The Resources function allows you to link files and web links to communication groups so that they are visible in the d6 app for parents and learners.

My School > System > Communication > Share Documents & Information: Resources

How do I add a resource?

  1. Select the target and type to which you want to link the resource.

  2. Click Add, select the category, and enter a title and description.

  3. Optionally add an expiry date and time. The resource will not appear in the app after this date.

  4. Select the target groups (the audience who can see the resource). You can select multiple groups.

  5. Click Add to attach files or web links (max 25 MB total).

  6. Optionally tick the Push notification checkbox to alert recipients.

  7. Click Publish to make it visible to end users, or Save as draft to publish later.

Frequently asked questions

Can I link a resource to more than one group?

Yes. At step 4 you can select multiple target groups. The resource will then be visible to members of all selected groups.

What happens to a resource after the expiry date?

The resource will no longer appear in the d6 Connect app after the expiry date, but remains available in the system for admin users.
