What is an RSS Stream?

RSS Streams is a function available in various existing systems (e.g. News24 or Supersport). When schools post messages on their blog, these can be automatically sent to d6 Connect users as an RSS stream — on the channel selected in the RSS Streams setup.

How do I add an RSS Stream?

  1. Click the Add button to add a new RSS Stream.

  2. Add the Title and the Link of the stream.

  3. Select whether a push notification should be sent:

  • No: The user sees the message when the app is opened.

  • Yes: The message pops up immediately on the screen, even if the d6 Connect app is closed.

  1. Select the Groups to which the stream should be sent from the drop-down.
