Sending Reminders to Members Who Have Not Read Your Message

Sending Reminders to Members Who Have Not Read Your Message

If some community members have not opened your message, you can send them a reminder directly from the message report. This is more efficient than creating and sending a brand new message.

Messages → [Open a sent message] → Remind

How do I send a reminder?

  1. Open the message report for the sent message.

  2. Look at the list of members who have not yet read the message.

  3. Tick the names of the people you want to remind, or select all unread members.

  4. Click Remind. A reminder push notification will be sent to the selected members.

System behaviour and restrictions

  • Delivery method: Reminders are sent as push notifications. Members without the App installed will receive the reminder via email or SMS (depending on their delivery settings). SMS will incur an additional charge.

  • Use thoughtfully: You can send reminders multiple times, but avoid over-notifying parents.

Tips

  • Urgent follow-ups: For urgent messages (such as emergency notices or payment deadlines), use the reminder feature to follow up with non-readers rather than resending the whole message.

Frequently asked questions

How do reminders get delivered to members without the App?

Members without the App installed receive the reminder via email or SMS, depending on their delivery settings. Note that SMS delivery will incur an additional charge.

Can I send a reminder more than once?

Yes. You can send reminders multiple times from the message report. However, use this feature thoughtfully to avoid over-notifying parents.

Is sending a reminder better than resending the message?

Yes. A reminder is more efficient because it targets only the members who have not yet read the message. Resending would create a duplicate message for everyone, including those who already read it.
