This article explains how to reconcile Sticitt payments received via the d6 Fease product. It is intended for school finance administrators who process parent payments made through the Sticitt platform. The reconciliation consists of four steps — receipt, payment, transfer, and reconciliation — each covered in a dedicated child article below.
d6 Finance > Cash Book
When parents make payments through the Sticitt platform via the d6 Fease product, those payments are collected into a dedicated Fease Collection account before being paid out to the school. Finance administrators must reconcile each Sticitt report against the school's d6 Finance records to ensure that receipts, transaction fees, and the final payout are correctly captured and the cash book balances.
Perform this reconciliation each time you receive a Sticitt payment report. The report is issued by Sticitt weekly if any payments have been made and covers all d6 Fease payments processed during a given period. Complete the full reconciliation for each report before the next payout cycle begins.
The Sticitt report contains three key figures used throughout the reconciliation process:
Amount paid per debtor: The full gross amount paid by each parent. This is the amount you capture on each individual receipt.
Transaction fee per debtor: The fee charged by Sticitt per payment. The SUM of all transaction fees across all debtors is captured as a single payment in d6 Finance.
Total payout (SUM of payout): The net amount Sticitt transfers to the school's main account — the total of all payments minus all transaction fees. This is the amount used for the once-off transfer.
Complete all four steps in order for every Sticitt report received:
Capture receipts per debtor — Issue a cash book receipt for each debtor on the report, recording the full gross amount paid against their school fees balance. See: How to capture a receipt for a Sticitt payment in d6 Finance.
Record transaction fees — Capture a single direct payment for the SUM of all transaction fees listed on the report, coded to bank charges. See: How to record Sticitt transaction fees in d6 Finance.
Transfer the payout — Perform a once-off transfer of the total SUM of payout from the Fease Collection account to the school's main account. See: How to transfer and reconcile a Sticitt payout in d6 Finance.
Reconcile the cash book — Complete the back-end reconciliation in d6 Finance to confirm all entries balance correctly. See: How to transfer and reconcile a Sticitt payout in d6 Finance.
The Sticitt payment report: Issued by Sticitt, listing each debtor's payment amount, the transaction fee per debtor, and the total net payout. Contact Sticitt or your d6 account manager if you are not receiving these reports.
A Fease Collection account in d6 Finance: The dedicated cash book account used to receive Sticitt payments. If this account does not yet exist, create it before starting the reconciliation.
Debtor family codes: Each debtor listed on the Sticitt report must have a corresponding family code in d6 Finance.
The Sticitt report is issued by Sticitt weekly (Mon or Tues) and lists all d6 Fease payments processed during a given period. It includes the gross amount paid per debtor, the transaction fee per debtor, and the total net payout. Contact Sticitt or your d6 account manager if you are not receiving these reports.
You will need to create the Fease Collection account in d6 Finance before starting any reconciliation. This is the dedicated cash book account for Sticitt payments. Navigate to d6 Finance > Cash Book and set up the account before proceeding.
Yes. All four steps — receipts, transaction fee payment, transfer, and reconciliation — must be completed for every Sticitt report received. Skipping any step will result in an incorrect cash book balance.
Use the date shown on the Sticitt report for all receipts, payments, and the transfer. This ensures your d6 Finance records match the Sticitt report date exactly.
The reconciliation is complete once all debtor receipts have been captured, the transaction fee payment has been recorded, the payout transfer has been posted to the school's main account, and the Fease Collection account balance returns to zero in the cash book reconciliation screen.
