How to manage Subject Choices per Group

The Subject Choices per Group module is a high-level administrative tool designed for the rapid allocation of subjects to entire grades or specific register classes. It is most effective during initial academic setup or when a new mandatory subject is introduced to a large cohort.

My School > Curriculum > Learner Subjects > Subject Choices per Group

How do I allocate subjects to a group?

  1. Select Academic Year, Grade, Curriculum and Learning Programme.

  2. In the Subject section, move the subjects you want to allocate from the left (Available) column to the right (Allocated) column using the Right Arrow.

  3. In the Register Classes section below, move the target classes from the left (Active) column to the right (Allocated) column.

  4. Review your selections carefully, then click Allocate. The system links every learner in the selected classes to every subject in the allocated list.

Frequently asked questions

Will this overwrite subjects learners already have?

No. This process is additive — it adds subjects to existing profiles without removing any subjects not in the allocated list.

Can I undo a bulk allocation?

No. There is no automatic rollback. Corrections must be made individually via Subject Choices per Learner or Subject Choices per Subject. Always review your selections carefully before clicking Allocate.
