How to manage Subject Choices per Subject

How to manage Subject Choices per Subject

The Subject Choices per Subject module allows administrators to manage subject allocations from a subject-centric perspective. Instead of updating individual learner profiles one by one, this tool enables the bulk linking of an entire cohort or specific group of learners to a single subject.

My School > Curriculum > Learner Subjects > Subject Choices per Subject

Subjects available for selection are pulled directly from the school’s Learning Programme. If a subject is missing, add it via My School > Curriculum > Curriculum Setup > Setup Learning Programme first.

How do I allocate learners to a subject?

  1. Select Academic Year, Grade, Gender (Male, Female or Both), Learning Programme (term) and the specific Subject.

  2. The left column shows learners not yet linked to the subject; the right column shows learners already allocated.

  3. To link: highlight learner(s) on the left and click the Right Arrow. To remove: highlight learner(s) on the right and click the Left Arrow.

  4. Click Submit to save. Simply moving names without clicking Submit will discard all changes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I remove a learner from a subject after marks have been finalised?

If marks have been finalised and verified for a learner in a subject, the system may restrict their removal to protect the integrity of the academic record.

Is linking a learner to a subject enough to capture marks?

No. Linking is the first step. The learner must also be assigned to a specific Subject Group (class) via Subject Choices per Learner before marks can be captured.
