How to generate the Summary of Learner Attendance report

This report displays or exports a Summary of Learner Attendance for DOE reporting. It generates male and female totals separately and accommodates both LSEN and Actual weighting.

Reports > DOE >  Management > Summary of Learner Attendance

How to generate the report

  1. Choose the Attendance per period or the attendance report: Week, Month, Term, or Year.

  2. Select the relevant Year, and then the applicable Month, Week, or Term depending on your period selection.

  3. Under the Weighting section, select Actual Weighting or LSEN Weighting depending on the level of education.

  4. Possible attendance: Choose whether to print ignoring admission/transfer dates, or to take admission/transfer dates into consideration.

  5. Click Generate Report for a PDF, or Export to Excel to export for further editing.

Note: An Excel program version warning may appear — it is safe to click Yes. If the Excel button is unavailable, ask your Superuser to enable Excel export on your user rights.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Actual Weighting and LSEN Weighting?

Actual Weighting reflects the true number of learner attendance days. LSEN Weighting applies the departmentally approved weighting factor for learners with special education needs. Select the option that matches the submission requirement for the relevant level of education.

Why are male and female totals shown separately?

The DOE requires gender-disaggregated attendance data. The report automatically separates male and female totals to meet this requirement.

Where does the Excel export download to?

The exported file downloads to the bottom left of your screen or to your Downloads folder, depending on your browser settings.
