The My Tasks screen is the first page you see after logging in to d6+. It displays a personalised list of outstanding actions linked to your user profile, grouped by module. This article explains how tasks are organised and how to act on them.
My Home > My Tasks
The Tasks screen shows only the tasks that are relevant to you — based on your user profile and the activities for which you are responsible. Tasks are grouped into the following main categories:
Setup tasks: Configuration items that need to be completed before the system can be used fully.
Administration tasks: Ongoing admin actions related to learners, staff, and school records.
Code of Conduct tasks: Discipline-related actions requiring attention.
Communication tasks: Pending communication items such as unsent messages or unread replies.
Curriculum tasks: Outstanding mark capturing, subject setup, or report-related actions.
Finance tasks: Fee, debit order, or billing items requiring review.
Each task includes a link that navigates directly to the relevant module where the action needs to be completed. Click the link next to the task description to go directly to that screen and resolve it.
Compliance tasks highlight data problems or incomplete records that need to be resolved. To view these, navigate to My School > Compliance > Outstanding Compliance Tasks.
The System Administrator can configure the number of seconds the Tasks screen is displayed before allowing you to proceed. The default setting is 10 seconds.
Tasks are linked to your user profile. If you are seeing tasks that appear unrelated to your role, check with your System Administrator that your user rights and profile are configured correctly.
The display duration is set by the System Administrator. Go to My School > Staff > Staff > Edit the Staff member's profile > Go down to Program Access Information and change the Read tasks delay (in seconds). The default is 10 seconds.
Compliance tasks are not shown on the My Tasks home screen. Navigate to My School > Compliance > Outstanding Compliance Tasks to view and resolve data compliance issues.
Tasks are generated automatically by the system based on outstanding actions. They will disappear from the list once the underlying action has been completed in the relevant module.
