This article explains the two dashboard views in Altivo, what each KPI card measures, what the charts show, and how to interpret the numbers. It also covers the AI Advisor panel and common troubleshooting questions.
Dashboard
Altivo provides two dashboard views: Dashboard (KPIs, revenue trends, top sponsors) and Admin Dashboard (allocation status, asset utilisation, sponsor breakdowns). Both show real-time data refreshed on every page load.
| KPI | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Total Revenue | Sum of all sponsorship contribution values in the selected date range |
| Available Asset Value | Annual value of unsold asset inventory (potential, not actual, revenue) |
| Outstanding Allocations | Allocations not yet fulfilled or completed |
| Unallocated Value | Sponsorship money received but not yet assigned to assets |
| Overdue | Allocations past their end date but not yet marked as Fulfilled or Completed |
| Pending Value | Value of allocations in Draft or Pending status |
Revenue Timeline: Monthly bar chart of sponsorship revenue based on date received
Top Sponsors: Horizontal bars showing top contributors by total value
Sponsorships by Purpose: Grouped bars by purpose (Sports, Arts, Academic, etc.) and contribution type (Cash, Goods, Services)
Sponsor breakdown: Per-sponsor detail including allocation counts, fulfilment rate, and total sponsored
Asset utilisation: Units, utilisation percentage, and revenue per asset
Expiring allocations: Sorted by urgency (Critical, Warning, Expired)
Acquisition trend: New sponsors per month and cumulative totals
The AI Advisor is a sliding panel available on any page. It has three modes: Summarise (plain-English overview of your data), Benchmark (compare against typical schools), and Packages (suggest bundled sponsorship packages). It reads your live data and does not modify anything.
You need both sponsorships with contribution values and allocations with agreed values. If you only have sponsors and assets with no recorded financial transactions, KPIs will show R0.
Revenue on the timeline chart uses the sponsorship's Date Received, not the date it was created in Altivo. Check that your sponsorships have the correct Date Received set.
This is the theoretical annual value of all unsold inventory at full price - not actual earnings. Think of it as your school's potential sponsorship capacity. It is useful for benchmarking and conversations with the School Governing Body.
A healthy dashboard shows growing revenue, low unallocated value (money is being assigned to assets), high asset utilisation, and few overdue allocations. If you have high unallocated value, it means sponsorship money is sitting idle.
