The Upload to SAMS function allows you to upload an existing SA-SAMS database into the system. The uploaded database serves as a base during export — existing transactions from d6+ are then appended to it when you use Reports > DOE > Export to SA-SAMS Database.

Ensure the SA-SAMS database has been deployed on the computer where SA-SAMS is installed. The database is generally located in one of these folders:
C:\Program Files\EdusolSAMS\Data
C:\Program Files (x86)\EdusolSAMS\Data
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\EdusolSAMS\Data
Zip the database file to reduce its size before uploading.
Click Choose File to browse for the zipped database.
Click Continue to upload the database.
SA-SAMS databases can be large. Zipping the file reduces its size to make the upload faster and more reliable.
The uploaded database is used as a base during export. When you use Reports > DOE > Export to SA-SAMS Database, d6+ appends its transactions to the existing SA-SAMS database rather than creating an empty one from scratch.
The database is typically installed in one of the paths listed in the steps above. If you cannot locate it, check with your school's IT administrator or the person who installed SA-SAMS.
Once the database is uploaded, use Reports > DOE > Export to SA-SAMS Database to export d6+ data. The system will append the d6+ transactions to the uploaded SA-SAMS database.
No. The database must be deployed (i.e. set up and in use on the SA-SAMS system) before uploading. Ensure deployment is complete before proceeding with the upload.
